Ready or Not I'm IN!!!

So, I moved in my place. LOL. No insulation and only a window unit, I'm in and it's mine that is ALL I care about!!!

Tomorrow I'm going to hopefully get a little insulation and sheet-rock in. LOL. Gotta do something it is unbearable during the daytime. Nights are fine, it gets chilly in here but daylight hours are a bit rougher. I jokingly say I'm living the primitive life and truly I am!! Haha. I have 1 lamp and my window unit and my belongings. You know I feel so much more peaceful and happy just me and my own little house named G. The company I bought the cabin from was named Graceland so all their buildings have a G on them. LOL.

I had it all laid out for my bedroom and closet idea and I guess I didn't have a clue what I owned. LOL. So my bedroom is sort of a closet. Instead of a closet in my bedroom I'm going to end up with a bed in my closet. HAHA. I just hope I figure out how to get a twin bed in there. Hehe.

Gonna run on to lala land. Tomorrow holds a full day of organizing and though I want to sleep late if I'm smart I'll be up as soon as the sun is bright enough to start working and get it all organized and a big chunk of my insulation up. It would be nice to stay cool all of the time. LOL.

It has been brought to my attention...

I've not posted recent pictures of my house. It lacks alot to be finished, It'll be a year I'm sure before it gets close to totally finished but it's mine and everything in it has been decided by me!!! I wish I could snap my fingers and it would just be done but it's alright...

Here we are celebrating my new house. My niece and nephews LOVED it!!!

I just love this young man!!! He is so serious and wanted to help, he was ready to start building the day it arrived. LOL. Said he just needed a tape measure, a pencil and a little wood. LOL.

I now own some pretty cool equipment. LOL. Who'da thunk it???

My brother and sister in law have helped me make my decisions and come up with ideas. My brother is awesome!!!! He has done a great job helping make everything perfect, or almost. HAHA

Landon wanted to help too. :-)

Rowdy was ready to help too. Problem was he was taking stuff out of the house. LOL.

Gavin is so strong, he was moving boards and taking in all the building. Miss my Papaw Rent, he built so many things for us as kids. Boy he could give us tips I'm sure. I think he would be proud of the work Chantry & Gavin did.

My very own electric meter. I could have just cried!!! Next run electric in the house!!!

The electric is ran inside my house now. Next is getting the ditch dug for the lines from the meter to my breaker box. Then I'll be serious about getting moved in. 

Looking at flooring. These samples are sitting on my dining room table. Starting to looking into decisions on flooring and paint.

That is about it for now. Next thing is the main line from the meter to the breaker box and that is the "pricey" part for now. LOL. Hopefully I can get that finished up by the end of the month... I'm hoping to have the bedroom/closet insulated & for the most part finished. 

I'm trying to move in on my birthday July 28th. I'm hoping but we shall see...

So much to do guess it's why we have 5 year plans??? So much to do and decide still. Cabinets, colors, toilet, LOL, bathtub, fixtures, lights, oh dear me... I'll never get it all done.

Waiting Game!!!

Well, I'm patiently waiting for my cabin to arrive. I think I'm much closer to finalizing the inside layout. Getting excited and a little scared. LOL. Shouldn't be much longer before it's ready to deliver. I'm getting excited. It has been many a moon since I felt like I had something to dream for or something worth dreaming. I feel content inside like, I'm OK. Regardless of what else happens, I'm all good now. LOL.

So here are a few pics of my place. I have so many ideas rolling around in my head.

 This will soon be my home!!! Can't wait, I'm so excited. I had a moment where I really struggled and hard. I have prayed and planned and dreamed about this very moment and the week I went out and started looking another family member did also. I shan't lie, it was HARD because everything I say or do has to be one up'd. I can't dream or think out loud because it's always gonna be overtaken. I hate competition and don't understand why people have to do that. You've had your many chances give me my 1 chance. Oh well.

 The above pic the middle part of the cabin. The middle space is 12x20 and has a front porch you can see in the first pic that is 4x20. I can just imagine my little window boxes with flowers in them. :-)

 Above is the "kitchen" or at least a little bit of it. There is a space on each end that is 16x10 and 1 end is the kitchen/dining and the other is bedroom/bathroom.

The rafters are in and it's ready for a ceiling!!! It is really a great building. Built with hurricane clips so it will stand up better in high winds. I chose to have a green metal roof (come on rainstorm!!!) in their metal roofs they have circulation vents in the peak (you can see above) and then around the building where the eaves/walls meet. It helps keep the building cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. The floors are built with 2x6's instead of 2x4's. That is awesome. So now it's just waiting and planning. Sigh, someday soon I'll have my own little place to call mine!!! That will be a great day.

So Dreams DO Come True!!!

So within the next month I should have my little cabin sitting on my land. As long as it doesn't rain between now and delivery day. I'm already working on pricing and getting everything ready to complete the bedroom area. That is the first step in the inside is the electric wiring and then complete the bedroom so I can MOVE IN!!! I can not tell you how excited I am. I know it's going to take a long time to get it all completed because my savings and tax refund are getting the cabin here and the bedroom finished.

You know just under a year ago I prayed with a few ladies at church that God would lead and guide me and give me a place of my own. :-) Yes, God answers prayers. Shows that He cares about even the little things in our lives but He does things in His time!!!

I think back over the last couple years and I'm amazed that God has over time given me so many things that I now need and I can mark those costs off my list. Someday some of it will be replaced but that is OK and God will make a way. Funny to think back 3 years and realize how unhappy and miserable I was single and then God led me right to a church where my singleness is celebrated, they don't care! Gives you the feeling that someone does care. I don't have to have a family to be important to God and to be used of God. Amazing!!!

It's been a loooooooooong time since I sat down at a computer and dreamed knowing it's going to slowly unfold and plan out what I want. Sigh!!!

So follow me the next few months, maybe years. HAHA. As I begin to build my dream and live out a part of life I never thought would happen.

So much has happened since I last wrote a blog. I’m so blessed by God, He amazes me!!!

Incredible to realize that we are 1 month into 2012 already WOW!!!

So, I’ll start with we had great holidays and then I promptly got really sick, still fighting this mess off. Like a really bad cold. It’s a viral infection and just hangs on forever.

Lost my help at work and regained it quickly. The 2 weeks of extra hours wasn’t too shabby. LOL. Especially with what I’ve gotten myself into now. Hehe

So I looked around at houses for sale and rent, checked out apartments and then unfinished cabins. I’m buying an unfinished cabin and placing it on my parents property. It will be delivered end of February or first of March and I’ll be ready to start on the inside. It’s 16x30 so it’ll be a nice size and I’ll have a bedroom, bathroom in the back and the kitchen/dining & Living area will be in the front part of it. I’m pretty excited. The reason for my decision is it will be paid off in 3 years. A house note would be around 30 years. If I get married, I can rent out my cabin. So that is the plan.

Starting out I have 2 HUGE things to begin with, getting my cabin and we have to have a new electric line put in. Could cost up to $1700, just some pocket change right?? LOL. But Stephanie is in the Little House and Teresa is getting her and Katy a cabin also. So we will all be pitching in and so the cost of the pole won’t be so hard on just 1 person and we will all be splitting the electric bill.

I’m excited. I’ve wanted my own place for a long time and was too scared to actually step out and do it. This way I’m close to my family and yet have my own space.  It will look like I want it to look and it may take me a couple years to finish it all out but that is OK.

My plan is to get the bedroom area finished FAST. Walls and ceiling up, electric ran and finished to that room, I have a window unit already and get all that insulated. I can then move in and finish it out slowly but surely. I want it to all be perfect yet just how I want it.

Now to just plan wisely to make the $$ stretch. LOL

2012 is almost HERE!!!

I can not believe it is almost 2012. Incredible!!! 2011 flew by way too fast yet too slow. LOL. Been some ups but a few lows too. So much changed in our life, for good and bad. Dad's sickness and yet I experienced so many "healings" in my life!!!

Last year I don't think I even made any resolutions and this year, I think I will change that this year. I can't even begin to share it all.

So this year I want to find a closer walk with God, to just let it all go and just serve Him with everything in me. More prayer and reading His Word, to stay involved in my local church. Reach out more to those that are hurting and searching. Love more, judge less!!! I want to see God move in a deep and mighty way, I've seen it before and I want it again!!!

In my personal life, I'm asking God to help me gain control of my life better, He helped me last year but I want more this year. I have learned to be happy in my singleness and though I don't grin and celebrate all the time, (I still hate baby and wedding showers) I am OK now. So I want to find a way to take control of my stress and not let food control my emotions, not be the answer to my bad/sad days. I need strength from God to help me stay with a healthy diet and exercise!!! So come income tax return I'm buying the Xbox Kinect. Hopefully the fun will help. Haha

Whew!! Been busy as a bee.

Been very busy with church ministries, conferences, work and most importantly home!!!

Thinking on selling the horse, no time to work with him. I just stay sooooo busy. Got alot coming up and can't wait to see what God has for my future. Just a short blog to let you know I'm not dead, just really crazy busy.
